single character as also unique (PLS)

The Pronunciation Lexicon Specification's appendix C says: "Multiple consecutive white space characters should be reduced to a unique single white space character." Either "unique" is redundant of "single" or you mean unique in some larger context, but since only a few unique characters are whitespace then contextual uniqueness is probably impracticable. If so, "unique" is redundant and should be deleted.
