Dynamic <audio> and video IVR.

Hi,

We build video IVR applications using, currently VXML 2.1.

One of the big problems we are running into is the lack of a
'method="post"' on the <audio> tag. Some of our components may easily
exceed the GET query string length of the platform we use.

There doesn't seem to be much support for dynamic <audio> tags and the
spec and the implementations seems to assume 100% that all audio fetches
will be for static files.

I know work is being done towards video applications and if I could
request one feature it would be the method attribute of the <audio> tag.
Followed very closely by more emphasis on the use of 'dynamic'
audio/video, by which I mean the src="" or expr="" can expect to fetch
from an application server and thus, like in HTML the session
cookies/variables should be honoured/passed. I realise the later is
implementation, but it could be mentioned in the VXML rec.?

Would love to hear your comments.

Regards,
