Hi, One extra piece of dynamism that would be welcome in VXML 2.1/SSML would be a "phexpr" attribute for the <phoneme> tag. This would allow the application layer to fully control TTS pronunciation without recourse to static transcriptions or lexica. The main reason this would be useful is that many TTS engines (mentioning no names!) suffer considerable performance penalties when lexica are configured. Rgds, Peter Moffatt
