ScanSoft is pleased to have been an active participant in the W3C Voice Browser Working Group, and in the development and proliferation of the SSML specification. It is clear that SSML, together with the related SRGS, VoiceXML and SI specifications, is integral to the development of advanced technologies that change the way we communicate, from interactive voice response solutions to in-vehicle automotive applications. Businesses and consumers alike will benefit from the support of SSML in ScanSoft's range of RealSpeak synthesis products to add the most natural speech output to their applications. The Scansoft implementation was run on the official test set ssml-ir-20040119.zip with following modifications applied on the .txml files: * 79/79.txml The removal of "xml:lang" attribute from <speak> element * 91/91.txml and 92/92.txml The replacement of sentence by s * 27/27.txml The replacement of paragraph by p * 223/223.txml and 224/224.txml and 228/228.txml and 229/229.txml The white space between the intonation points had to be removed, because otherwise the validation against the schema failed. * 287/287.txml "hz" had to replaced with "Hz", because otherwise the validation against the schema failed. * 288/288.txml "St" had to replaced with "st", because otherwise the validation against the schema failed. Regards, An Buyle and Luc Van Tichelen ScanSoft
