The Call Control subgroup of the Voice Browser Working Group held a face-to-face meeting Friday October 3 in New York City. Participants reviewed the current working draft of CCXML resolved several issues and made several changes to improve readability and set a goal of issuing the CCXML document as a last call working draft. The Voice Browser Working Group held a face-to-face meeting October 8-10 in Budapest. On October 8 we held a joint meeting with the Multimodal Interaction Working Group where we discussed and resolved issues relating to the speech modality object and how it relates to the emerging Multimodal Framework being developed by the Multimodal Integration Working Group. On October 9 and 10, we considered a number of issues relating to future dialog markup requirements, including market trends, device environments, language modularization and telephony. We discussedresponses to suggested changes to SSML, as well as resolved many details related to the SSML implementation report. We also discussed andresolved some proposed changes to the Semantic Interpretation Language. Jim Larson Co-chair, Voice Browser Working Group
