VoiceXML 2.0 Implementation Report by PublicVoiceXML

Attached is the implementation report for VoiceXML 2.0 submitted by
PublicVoiceXML EU project (www.publicvoicexml.org).

PublicVoiceXML aims at providing an open source implementation of W3C's
VoiceXML 2.0 specifications. The source code is published on SourceForge
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/publicvoicexml/).

Speech recognition is not yet covered due to the challenge of
multi-linguality in our European-Asian consortium. Therefore we had to
modify irtest.xslt to generate DTMF grammar instead of speech grammar.
This resulted that we passed tests where not speech recognition itself was
tested but other features of VoiceXML, such as form interpretation
algorithm. In the report we put 'Passed with DTMF grammar.' as comment
wherever the test would have failed if staying with speech grammar.

We also had to dynamically cut xmlns attributes from VXML tests and
replace <catch> tags with <catch event=".">. These smaller issues will be
fixed soon by our developers. We will continue to work on getting closer
to the specs.
