RE: Your comment on SRGS spec: Metadata containing both " and ' in ABNF format

Hi Max,

I still consider it unfortunate that there is no provision to have ABNF
meta values containing both single and double quotes, as I believe the
mapping between the XML form and ABNF should be "lossless". Having said
that, I agree that it might be confusing to add escapes (in particular
for tags) and thus accept the resolution.

Thanks,
Felix

Subject: Your comment on SRGS spec: Metadata containing both " and ' in
ABNF format

Hi Felix,

In order to close the Candidate Recommendation phase of the SRGS spec,
we have to ensure that all comments that were raised have been answered,
and that that answer has been acknowledged or refuted. The purpose of
this email is to ask you if you accept the Working Group's decision on
the issue you raised.

On 29 October 2002, you sent comments on "Metadata containing both " and
' in ABNF format" [1] to which the WG answered [2], with an explanation
of why it made those particular choices.

Do you accept this resolution? Your acceptance or dissent will be
recorded in the Disposition of Comments documents [3]. In case of
dissent the WG will do its best to resolve the issue by explaining its
choice or by making more amendments to the spec.
