Hi Fabrice, thank you for your public comment on VoiceXML. The issue you described has already been discussed within the W3C VoiceXML team (Change Request 342). It is expected that the next Working Draft of the VoiceXML 2.0 specification will address this issue (with the same solution as the one you suggest below). An internal version of the draft is available to Voice Browser Working Group members at http://www.w3.org/Voice/Group/2002/voicexml20/WD-voicexml20-20020119.htm <http://www.w3.org/Voice/Group/2002/voicexml20/WD-voicexml20-20020119.ht m> . The public version is expected in March 2002. Please let me know if this reply is unsatisfactory, or you want further information. thanks Scott (Chairman, W3C VB VoiceXML Committee). _______________ Scott McGlashan CTO PIPEBEACH Box 24035/Karlav. 108 SE-104 50 Stockholm, Sweden fax: +46 8 54590993 office: +46 8 54590990 mobile: +46 708 462432 www.pipebeach.com -----Original Message----- From: Fabrice MARE [mailto:fmare@telisma.com] Sent: 23 January 2002 10:43 To: www-voice@w3.org Subject: How to use inputmodes property I am working on a VoiceXML interpreter and I wonder how to interprete inputmodes property. When you find a inputmodes property with the value "dtmf" at the <field> level, is that mean that all voice grammars definied in higher scopes are disabled when you interprete that field ? Thank you in advance for your help, regards.
