Self closing tag error message

Hi

I ran a validation check on my website
https://e-commerce.paradisevalley.edu/storslee, and I am now receiving a
warning about self-closing tags being closed internally with a slash.  I
wonder why this is happening?

I started internally closing the tags to maintain compliance with the XHTML
standard.  I can't seem to find any notice about no longer using the
internal closure.
