Or to put it another way, a <DIV> element with role="<anything>"  is 
still a <DIV> element, and can never be anything else; in particular, it 
cannot be an <LI> element.  "A rose by any other name would smell as 
sweet", and its offspring would still be roses, but a tulip that someone 
chose to call a rose would still be a tulip.
