I'm still reading up more about this but I don't see any XHTML DTDs in my SGML lib folder. This is a Mac OS X box with OpenSP 1.5.2 installed. I flippantly tried downloading some XHTML DTDs at http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/xhtml1.tgz and copying the DTDs themselves into the OpenSP-1.5.2, but that didn't work on first try. I'll give it another shot over the weekend, but maybe this is indeed part of the problem... thanks again, ~ john % cd /usr/share/sgml/OpenSP-1.5.2 % find . . ./catalog ./demo.sgm ./gensyntax.pl ./html-1.dtd ./html-1s.dtd ./html-s.dtd ./html.dcl ./html.dtd ./html.soc ./HTML32.dcl ./HTML32.dtd ./HTML32.soc ./HTML4-f.dtd ./HTML4-s.dtd ./HTML4.dcl ./HTML4.dtd ./HTML4.soc ./HTMLlat1.ent ./HTMLspec.ent ./HTMLsym.ent ./ISOlat1.ent ./ISOlat1.sgm ./japan.dcl ./opensp-implied.dcl ./unicode.sd ./unicode.syn ./xml.dcl ./xml.soc
