Things to try before reinstalling XP:

1-start Firefox in safe mode

2-new Firefox profile

3-make minor edits to the test file: add extra line feeds, change case of
elements, etc

4-add a font-family style to the file (maybe the font being used corrupt)

5-reconstruct the test file from scratch

6-SeaMonkey 2.0.10 (uses same 1.9.2.12 Gecko engine as Firefox 3.6.12)
