Thank you for your kind assistance.

I would like to say a big thankyou,

To 2 individuals in Particular they are:

David Dorward and Peter Krantz.

My original issue was the validator threw up an error(help) message stating
that I was using UTF-8 declaration and but my Server was using UTF-8.

This was confusing as I wasn’t sure what it was telling me. Was I speaking
French but that was wrong because the book I was reading from was written in
French?

However I omitted to post my url originally.

Thanks to David I managed to find out what was causing the error.

I would like to add David that your information was sound, application/xml
as I was using RSS 2.0 Atom Feed. Not application/atom+xml

But my server domain in this instance is a windows server, I had used both
UTF-8 and ISO-8559-1, UTF-8 Told me I was Using UTF-8 but the server was
UTF-8.

ISO-8559-1 told me I was using UTF-8 but my server was ASCII.

I was also receiving errors on special characters like ‘ £ “ but it still
validated.

I would have gone around in circles if not for both David and Peter.

I eventually changed the encoding to windows-1252.

This validated without issue.

Windows ….. was the problem Doh!

Kind regards + Thanks

Sean
