Please not that character entity within an HTML document refers to unicode codepoints no matter what is the document's encoding. Thus, the character entity "•" refers to U+0095 which is a control character for "MESSAGE WAITING", definitely not a bullet. The correct entity for a bullet is " ", or "•" in decimal. I have no idea why "•" was accepted within an XHTML document, but it was correctly rejected within HTML. Regards, -- Etienne Miret
