You didn't tell us the URI you were trying to check, so it is quite  
difficult to know what caused the problem in the first place.

You can install your own copy and remove the limit.

Yes? You've said that "/index.html has permanently moved to /", but  
you haven't updated your link to point to the new location. What would  
you expect the link checker to do?
