* before reporting a bug, please search the archives.
   A quick search on "charset", "meta" or case-sensitive would have  
easily yielded:

* before reporting a bug, please look at whether it is already in  
bugzilla:

   (in which I had forgotten to record the end of the earlier  
discussions - my bad)

* If you see a bug you know is known and has been discussed already,  
don't re-start all discussions like it never happened. This is not  
helpful. Instead, point people to the past mail threads.

Following these no-nonsense rules should ensure quality discussions,  
and avoid getting into circular and/or broken record arguments.
