[VE][79] and [VE][61] error in js section

Validating http://redspider.freehostia.com/gbook.php
gave me
Error  [79]: "end tag for element "G" which is not open"
and
Error [61]: "character "," not allowed in end tag"
in an js section with the following script:
str.replace(/</g, "&lt;");
