The folks on the charset list somehow agreed that adding unnecessary aliases would make it worse, e.g. Windows tools won't recognize cp1251 as alias for windows-1251. Do you have an idea why ICU http://purl.net/net/cp/1251 shows 0x98 as boxed "SOS" (same style as for C0 control codes), 0xA0 as empty string, and 0xAD as an empty box ? As always curious, Frank
