By the way... the new validator's encoding error message is not as good as the previous version. http://validator-test.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fpeaceable_whale.sinacampus.com%2FBig5-HKSCS_Test%2FBig5.htm http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fpeaceable_whale.sinacampus.com%2FBig5-HKSCS_Test%2FBig5.htm The new validator said: "Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 15 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as big5 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication. The error was: big5-eten "\x96" does not map to Unicode" While the old one said: "Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 9-15 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as big5 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication." After I removed line 15, the new validator changed "15" to "14"... After I removed line 14, it changed "14" to "13"... I think the validator should show all errors at once. Franklin
