Did you download the .tar.gz from the validator.w3.org site? Or did you download the development version from CVS? - Which installation guide did you follow? - is your installation visible from the Web, or is it on a private network? - what server did you install the validator upon? (apache, IIS, other?) How did you configure it to serve the validator? Could you show us the relevant part of the configuration file (send that to me only, not the whole public mailing-list, if necessary) - what is the size of the file located at httpd/cgi-bin/check ? I suspect either that there was a mistake in how you configured the Web server for the validator, or perhaps that you accidentally copied the configuration file over the "check" file. Either way, this should be easy to fix as soon as we understand the cause of the problem. Regards, -- olivier
