Just one comment at the moment, Oliver (apart from thanks
for fixing the earlier reported issues) -- attempting
to validate the null document by direct input now produces :

	Sorry, this type of URL  scheme  () is not
	supported by this service. Please check that
	you entered the URL correctly.

which seems inappropriate to me.  The user hasn't entered
a URL, nor did he/she intend to.  Would a more appropriate
diagnostic not be something along the lines of

	Sorry, I am unable to detect any markup at all.
	Please make sure that you have typed or pasted
	your markup in the text area provided.
