Maybe http://www.w3.org/International/O-charset can help you. http://www.w3.org/International/tutorials/tutorial-char-enc/ provides a more detailed discussion. Or just copy <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html;charset=iso-8859-1"> after your <head> start-tag and revisit this later.
