By default it's in «validator/htdocs/sgml-lib/», but it must match even if you've moved it elsewhere. The «-R» switch to OpenSP (onsgmls) restricts file reading to only the configured directories (to prevent a remote file disclosure vulnerability when presented with specially crafted input). The path set for «SGML Library» is used as the permitted directory to search. IOW, if «SGML Library» is not set correctly, OpenSP will refuse to read any of the supporting files (the DTD, the Catalog, entity definitions, the SGML Declaration, etc.) reslting in non-sensical output like what you are seeing. I haven't found any good way to detect this situation and report a meaningfull error (then again, I haven't really given it much thought) so if anyone has suggestions — or maybe even patches :-) — I'd be very happy to hear about it. - -- "Oh, my.
