That's a classic case of a reduced SGML form. The validator is correct insofar as it is checking against the HTML spec. The bug is in the spec itself. Solution is to use a slightly stricter parse mode. See http://valet.webthing.com/page/parsemode.html Your nsgmls.exe may have been run with different options, or using a doctored version of the SGMLDECL for HTML. -- Nick Kew
