i noticed (at least) some of the pages on w3.org use "http://validator.w3.org/check/referer" as their "validate" link. in particular, the page at http://validator.w3.org/ uses this. it doesn't work. going to the page and clicking on the XHTML-validation icon in the bottom-right corner brings up a page with the following: "Sorry, this type of URI scheme (undefined) is not supported by this service. ..." <etc.> what's the deal? i would like to use this, as it would make my life easier (what with putting a validation icon/link on every page in a site), but only if it works. thanks-- teague teague@tamu.edu
