I am interested in running a validator on the local network so that we can validate our intranet web applications. Currently I have to save the dynamic screens as static html documents and use the file upload feature of the validator to test pages. Since I have so many screens to test, it would be helpful to be able to copy and paste the URL directly into the validator form. But since I am on a closed network the validator will not be able to fetch the URL. I would also be interested in setting up a scripted test that would send a series of URLs to a validator. What I would do is routinely test a set of screens using the script with a schedule job that would provide me with a report of the result. Currently were are using jMeter to do some "white box" testing, but it does not validate the html. I am also considering what jTidy may provide for validating the html, xhtml and css content. Is there any w3c software that would provide an automated validator service that I could run on an intranet? _____________________________________ Brennan Stehling Web Applications Developer (Keane Inc) Controls Group - Interactive Business Systems.
