I did the obvious, downloaded the gif to a local directory and placed the image on my page WITHOUT THE RECOMMENDED TEXT Then of course I revalidated and found out the lack of alt text made the page invalid again. I fixed that, but what I did is the obvious simple thing and others might do it also.
