I did the obvious, downloaded the gif to a local directory and placed the image on my page WITHOUT THE RECOMMENDED TEXT Then of course I revalidated and found out the lack of alt text made the page invalid again. I fixed that, but what I did is the obvious simple thing and others might do it also. Whats wrong with simply: <P><IMG src="valid-html40.gif" width="88" height="31" border="0" alt="W3C valid document logo"></P> If what I did makes sense, remind others to put in the alt text too. -- Richard Patak
