I wouldn't make enough contributions to make it worthwhile to subscribe to this list. The problem I'm having is that Gerald Oskoboiny's validator sent me utf-8, which my browser doesn't support. Since my preferred language choice is English, and my browser might be able to tell you that, then you might be able to detect that I would also prefer iso-8859-1. Uh. and by the way. You offer two menus that say "detect automatically" by default. Don't ask the question if you can make people write better HTML. encourage DOCTYPE declarations, BUT. And this is a big BUT. Don't deprecate old features. Nothing is worse than forcing people to upgrade their web pages for browsers that don't support old features. Take the <LINK rev=made ...> tag for instance. It would be nice if pages were required to provide a return address, even if it's bogus@dev.nul . The <center> tag was deprecated. What for? WordPerfect supports about three types of centering. It also centers pages vertically and entries within tables can be centered.
