I need to >doublecheck. FWIW, I do all my development for the Validator on 5.6.0 so "check" should work just fine without any modifications. Dunno about the other stuff on validator.w3.org though. BTW, I don't see any references to trouble with timeouts on Linux in the changelog for IO::*?
