Hi guys,
I just wanted to bring to your attention a small oddity about
your validation service.
When one validates an HTML 4.0 (Strict) file one gets a nice message
encouraging people to include the HTML
<p>
<a href="http://validator.w3.org/"><img border=0
src="http://validator.w3.org/images/vh40.gif"
alt="Valid HTML 4.0!" height=31 width=88></a>
</p>
to show readers you put some effort is writing good html.
Unfortunately, after that piece of HTML is inserted,
the page won't validate anymore.
I must confess that I never read the specifications, but
if I had to guess I would say that "border" attribute is
only Transitional.
(by the way, I think the validator is a great service, but it is
kind of sad that the LCS web page does not validate. Your host
should give a better example!)
Daniele
