Michael, unfortunately, there is no old document describing DOM level 0 I could point you to (I checked this with W3C's DOM expert, Arnaud le Hors, copied above), because such a document never existed, as far as i know. Basing compliance on DOM level 0 is thus very difficult, if not impossible.
