(From a recent post to comp.text.xml - SH) upCast is a Java application that converts RTF documents to XML and XHTML 1.0 including Cascading Stylesheets Level 1 (CSS1). Key features: * converts RTF 1.6 compliant files, including Word 95, Word 97 and Word 2000 files * recreates logical document structure * style support via Cascading Stylesheets Level 1 (CSS 1) * powerful table, nested table and list translation * processes footnotes, hyperlinks, index marks and references * converts included wmf images to jpg format upCast is free for private use.
