How do you go about changing servers without changing the home page URL address? I assume this can be done through DNS, but I don't know how (I am an inexperienced system admin). For example, say you have X.URL as your URL which gets resolved to X.IPaddress. We are changing to a different server in a different domain, so I want X.URL to get resolved to Y.IPaddress. I am not sure who I notify via DNS to make sure the old DNS record is removed, and that my new DNS record gets propagated to all the right places. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
