Thank you Robin. Just want to chime in here and say that as a software engineer who has spent his entire career building on the web, and as someone who spent several years building on top of Solid and other "Web 3.0" technologies, it would be extremely disappointing to see the TAG lump the myriad innovative and useful innovations that Robin lays out in with the various marketing scams that have taken advantage of the success of these tools by calling themselves "web3" projects. I prototyped and built web applications with Solid starting in 2019, and currently work full-time with "web3" technologies like CIDs, CARs, UCANs, IPFS and am quite convinced that they represent a useful and necessary evolution of "The Web" in a way that is simply not reflected in the quotes from 'Web X.0" luminaries in the original message. I do not know why there is such a disconnect and seeming lack of understanding of these tools and the motivations for them in the "Web X.0" community, but I would be delighted to be part of the process of bringing the communities together - imho we are all building toward the same thing: a free, open and user-empowering worldwide web of documents and data. If the TAG is interested in weighing in on "web3" tech I do hope it is done in the spirit of building community and common ground, not tearing down the work of others. Thank you, Travis Vachon -- Travis Vachon he/him/his
