Mike, Elliotte, Tim, and David: A few weeks ago, the TAG decided [1] to close our ISSUE-30 [2]: (formerly binaryXML-30), titled: Standardize a "binary XML" format? This issue was opened in 2002, and under its banner we worked with the Efficient XML working group to resolve a number of concerns. You all have, we believe, have expressed interest or concern with this issue at one time or another, so we wanted to alert you to our decision to close it. Links to recent TAG work on this can be found from the issue description page at [2], and for those who want to go further back, in the records of our old issue tracking system at [3]. We hope you find our decision to close this issue to be acceptable, but in any case we welcome your comments on the www-tag@w3.org mailing list. Thank you very much.
