Dave, Norm, did you know about this thing? "Introducing Optimus, the microformats transformer. Easily transform your microformatted content to nice, clean, easily digestible, XML, JSON or JSON-P." http://microformatique.com/optimus/ It includes a validator.xsl; I wonder what that does; perhaps it's in line with Norm Walsh's observation...
