Hello David, At their 12 May 2004 ftf meeting [1] the TAG accepted the proposed finding "How should the problem of identifying ID semantics in XML languages be addressed in the absence of a DTD?" [2]. This finding addressed issue xmlIDSemantics-32, which you raised (30 Jan 2003). The TAG resolved to move this issue to the "deferred" state while the XML Core WG continues work on the topic. Thank you, _ Ian [1] http://www.w3.org/2004/05/14-tag-summary.html#findings [2] http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/doc/xmlIDsemantics-32-20040512.html [3] http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/issues.html#xmlIDSemantics-32 -- Ian Jacobs (ij@w3.org) http://www.w3.org/People/Jacobs Tel: +1 718 260-9447
