I have an action item to increase the prominence and visibility of the sentence in section 2.3 that reads "Furthermore, designers should expect that it will prove useful to be able to share a URI across applications, even if that utility is not initially evident." That sentence should be removed from section 2.3 and moved to the the opening 2. section, where there is a sentence beginning "There are many benefits to assigning a URI to a resource...". Lose the "Furthermore" and stick the sentence from 2.3 on the end of this paragraph. Cheers, Tim Bray http://www.tbray.org/ongoing/
