Hi all, Since this topic shows up, I just wanted to make sure that the SVG WG is aware of my research (and its implementation, VPaint): http://dalboris.com/research/vgc/ http://www.vpaint.org/ I have not yet been participating here because I don't think the technology is quite ready for standardization yet, and it would be quite a disruptive change for SVG. However, in the (probably distant) future, I can definitely give a hand to integrate these kind of features in SVG.
