Just because you cannot access the svg file via a public URL doesn’t mean it has no merit. That's relevant when you're considering *removing* a feature that has been in browsers but which you think is very low use. It's not relevant when talking about a feature that has never been implemented, because obviously no page intended to be displayed in a browser would be using that feature. (Outside of some weird degenerate cases.) ~TJ
