Dear SVG Community- The SVG Working Group would like to announce the Last Call publication of the SVG 1.1 (Second Edition) specification, available here: http://www.w3.org/TR/2010/WD-SVG11-20100622/ This publication is intended to become a Second Edition of SVG 1.1, and incorporates errata gathered on the SVG 1.1 specification. As required by W3C process for modifying a Recommendation, no new features have been added, and the intention is to not add any new features but to clarify the specification where needed. Some feedback on SVG 1.1 would require the addition of new features or substantial changes; as such it is out of scope for a Second Edition and has been deferred to SVG 2.0. The SVG 2.0 issue tracker is available here: http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/WG/track/products/9 Commenting If you wish to make comments regarding the SVG 1.1 Second Edition specification please send them to <www-svg@w3.org> which is an email list publicly archived at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-svg/. Please use "[SVG1.1F2 LC]" in the subject line of your email. The Last Call period will run for 3 weeks, until 13 July 2010. We encourage early review. Test Suite In the process of publishing SVG 1.1 Second Edition we have also worked on extending and improving the SVG 1.1 test suite, which is publicly available here: http://dev.w3.org/SVG/profiles/1.1F2/test/harness/ At the time of writing there are 175 new tests compared to the previous official SVG 1.1 test suite release (13 December 2006). Note that tests that are marked as drafts are not yet reviewed and accepted by the working group. We invite feedback on all the tests in the test suite. The SVG 1.1 test suite issue tracker can be found here: http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/WG/track/products/3 Regards, Erik Dahlström -- Erik Dahlstrom, Core Technology Developer, Opera Software Co-Chair, W3C SVG Working Group Personal blog: http://my.opera.com/macdev_ed
