The first sentence of this paragraph is [1]: Scripting languages (such as ECMAScript) that have a notion of a "global scope" or a "global object" such that a single global object must be associated with the document (unique for each uDOM Document node). This sentence fragment has a subject ("languages"), then a subordinate clause describing the subject, then nothing. There is no verb.
