Dear Scalable Vector Graphics Working Group, http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-SVG12-20041027/ introduces a number of new constants for which I miss a clear naming scheme, in particular, it is not clear why some constants have a SVG_ prefix and some don't. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-archive/2005Feb/0027.html shows that SVG 1.1 followed a similar weird pattern. Please change the draft such that constants are named consistently. For new features that had an associated constant in SVG 1.1, e.g., the SVGTransform interface had SVG_TRANSFORM_SKEWY, etc. constants, this seems to be discontinued in SVG 1.2, e.g., there is no SVG_TRANSFORM_REF constant, so it is not clear what implementations are supposed to pick for ref(svg), it could be SVG_TRANSFORM_UNKNOWN or any random number... Please change the draft either such that the constants are kept in sync with new features or such that it provides guidance on how to deal with the lack of consistency. regards. -- Björn Höhrmann · mailto:bjoern@hoehrmann.de · http://bjoern.hoehrmann.de Weinh.
