Dear Scalable Vector Graphics Working Group, In http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-SVGMobile12-20050413/types.html the <iri> data type is not properly defined. The draft refers to this type for both the CSS url() functional notation as well as literals. It is also unclear how SVG Tiny 1.2 is in a position to re-define normative dependencies like CSS 2.0 which does not allow anything but URIs in the url() notation, and other specifications like xml:base and XLink 1.0 do not use IRIs either (and IRIs are incompatible with their URI I18N mechanisms). Please change the draft such that there are different data types for IRI literals and IRIs in url() and precisely explain the im- pact of SVG's re-definition of its normative dependencies in this regard. regards. -- Björn Höhrmann · mailto:bjoern@hoehrmann.de · http://bjoern.hoehrmann.de Weinh.
