Dear Scalable Vector Graphics Working Group, http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-SVG12-20041027/binding.html suggests to use XML Schema data types for the valueType of traits. This seems a poor suggestion for the float type as the lexical space of floats in W3C XML Schema appears to be different from the lexical space of floats in SVG. Please change the draft to use the SVG data type. XML Schema suggests http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-datatypes should be used instead of http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema to refer only to the data types, please change the draft accordingly. None of the http://www.w3.org/2000/svg#SVGFoo types seem to be defined in the draft, please change the draft to clearly define those. This will involve a clear statement as to whether special values such as "inherit" are allowed and if what the effect would be. The draft requires that the namespace attribute is specified, this seems a poor requirement considering that in many cases the attributes will be in no namespace. Please change the draft such that the attribute is not required and defaults to no namespace. regards. -- Björn Höhrmann · mailto:bjoern@hoehrmann.de · http://bjoern.hoehrmann.de Weinh.
