The SVG 1.0 spec states, "The MIME type for SVG is "image/svg+xml" (see [RFC3023]). The W3C will register this MIME type around the time when SVG is approved as a W3C Recommendation." What is the current status of this registration? It does not yet appear at http://www.isi.edu/in-notes/iana/assignments/media-types/image/ Has anybody actually begun the process of officially registering this type? -- +-----------------------+------------------------+-------------------+ | Elliotte Rusty Harold | elharo@metalab.unc.edu | Writer/Programmer | +-----------------------+------------------------+-------------------+ | Java I/O (O'Reilly & Associates, 1999) | | http://www.ibiblio.org/javafaq/books/javaio/ | | http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=1565924851/cafeaulaitA/ | +----------------------------------+---------------------------------+ | Read Cafe au Lait for Java News: http://www.cafeaulait.org/ | | Read Cafe con Leche for XML News: http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/ | +----------------------------------+---------------------------------+
