This is good news, both because SMIL Animation (on which SVG depends) is a SMIL 2.0 subset and also because the combination of SVG and SMIL 2.0 promises enhanced interaction and control, streaming audio and video synced to events in SVG, and so forth.... http://www.w3.org/TR/smil20/ -- Chris
