Dear Members of the CSS Working Group, I'm relaying the following announcement that was sent to W3C Advisory Committee Representative earlier today, to notify the group of the new charter approval and call for participation. With kind regards, Xueyuan Jia, Marketing & Communications -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Call for Participation: CSS Working Group Charter approved; Join the CSS Working Group Date: Mon, 17 Mar 2025 16:42:27 +0800 From: xueyuan <xueyuan@w3.org> To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org Dear Advisory Committee Representative, [This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs] W3C is pleased to announce the recharter of the CSS Working Group. https://www.w3.org/2025/03/css-wg.html The group is chartered through 17 March 2027. The mission of the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) Working Group is to develop and maintain CSS. Please use the following form to have your organization join or re-join the group. The form will also instruct you how to nominate participants: https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/css/join/ Please consider diversity when proposing people to participate in W3C groups. Representation from a wider group of people, especially people from under-represented groups, is vital for creating web standards that meet the needs of the wider web community. If your organization is currently in the group, please note that you will need to have it re-join the group as the new charter adds a new deliverable with licensing obligations under the W3C Patent Policy. This Call for Participation triggers the start of the 45 days grace period. See: https://www.w3.org/2020/09/15-pp-faq.html#recharter The group chairs are Alan Stearns (Adobe) and Rossen Atanassov (Microsoft). The Team Contact is Chris Lilley, <chris@w3.org>, for a total of 0.6 FTE. More information about the group can be found on the group home page: https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/css/ [...] To see all changes relative to the proposed charter, following this link: https://services.w3.org/htmldiff?doc1=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2024%2F11%2Fcss-wg-ac.html&doc2=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2025%2F03%2Fcss-wg.html To see all changes relative to the previous charter, follow this link: https://services.w3.org/htmldiff?doc1=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2023%2F01%2Fcss-2023.html&doc2=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2025%2F03%2Fcss-wg.html This announcement follows section 5.7.2 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/policies/process/20231103/#ACReviewAfter and the Call for Participation follows section 4.4 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/policies/process/20231103/#cfp Thank you, For Philippe le Hégaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead, Chris Lilley, CSS Working Group Team Contact; Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
