The CSS WG has published an updated Working Draft of the CSS Color Adjustment Level 1: https://www.w3.org/TR/css-color-adjust-1/ This module introduces a model for and controls over automatic color adjustment by the user agent to handle user preferences, such as "Dark Mode", contrast adjustment, or forced-contrast color schemes. At this point we have only two open issues: Controlling auto-darkening https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/5089 Shielding system colors to avoid fingerprinting? https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/5710 See https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/5710#issuecomment-840772752 Currently awaiting TAG/a11y/PING review. We expect to transition to CR once these are resolved. Significant changes since the previous drafts are listed at: https://www.w3.org/TR/2021/WD-css-color-adjust-1-20210520/#changes Please review the draft, and send any comments to this mailing list, <www-style@w3.org>, prefixed with [css-color-adjust-1] (as I did on this message) or (preferably) file them in the GitHub repository at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues For the CSS WG, ~fantasai
