RE: Highlight API proposal

Just in case: that is close (I would say suspiciously close:)  to what Sciter uses since 2015:

The only difference is that Sciter uses ::mark(name)  pseudo element instead of theirs ::highlight(foo)

Yet among other things this feature allows to implement syntax highlighting inside <textarea>s 
https://sciter.com/tokenizer-mark-syntax-colorizer/ 
and <pre>’s without DOM modification.
